How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Do we use cookies?

Yes.  Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart, understand and save your preferences for future visits, keep track of advertisements and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act.  We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make any changes to their information at anytime by logging into their control panel and going to the "Update Information" page.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age.  Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

Non-disclosure

We do not use or disclose information about you or your individual visits to our web site or any information that you may give us, such as your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number, to any outside companies except as is necessary to provide our service to you and then, we only use or disclose that amount of information necessary to provide the service.

Security

StemStore Technologies, LLC utilizes a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information.  All user contact information is contained behind a "firewall" and only accessible by a limited number of employees who have special access rights to production systems.  Passwords and credit card numbers are encrypted in our secure database which is also located behind a firewall.  All sensitive credit information supplied by users is transmitted via Secured Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted in our databases as stated above.  Every StemStore Technologies, LLC employee is required to sign a policy which clearly outlines our policy with respect to security and defines the action we will take with any employee who breaches the policy.

Use and Disclosure of Health Information

We may use your health information, that is, information that constitute protected health information as defined in the Privacy Rule of the Administrative Simplification provision of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"), for purposes of providing services you request and/or making or obtaining payment for our services and conducting health care operations.  We have established a policy to guard against unnecessary disclosure of your health information.


THE FOLLOWING IS A SUMMARY OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES UNDER WHICH AND PURPOSES FOR WHICH YOUR HEALTH INFORMATION MAY BE USED AND DISCLOSED:

1. To Make or Obtain Payment - We may use or disclose your health information to make payment to or collect payment from third parties, such as credit card companies, insurers, health plans or providers. 

2. To Individuals Involved in Your Care or Payment for Your Care - We may release medical information about you to a friend or family member who is authorized by you to receive the same. As stated above, may also give information to someone who helps pay for your care.

4. To Conduct Health Oversight Activities
- We may disclose your health information to a health oversight agency for authorized activities including audits, civil administrative or criminal investigations, inspections, licensure or disciplinary action. We may not disclose your health information if you are the subject of an investigation and the investigation does not arise out of or is not directly related to your receipt of health care or public benefits.

In Connection With Judicial and Administrative Proceedings - As permitted or required by law, we may disclose your health information in the course of any judicial or administrative proceeding in response to an order of a court or administrative tribunal as expressly authorized by such order or in response to a subpoena, discovery request or other lawful process, but only when we make reasonable efforts to either notify you about the request or to obtain an order protecting your health information. 

6. For Law Enforcement Purposes
- As permitted or required by state law, we may disclose your health information to a law enforcement official for certain law enforcement purposes.

In the Event of a Serious Threat to Health or Safety - We may, consistent with applicable law and ethical standards of conduct, disclose your health information if we, in good faith, believe that such disclosure is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to your health or safety or to the health and safety of the public. 

8. For Specified Government Functions - In certain circumstances, federal regulations require us to use or disclose your health information to facilitate specified government functions related to the military and veterans, national security and intelligence activities, protective services for the president and others, and correctional institutions and inmates.
